IRON MAN 2

CHARACTERS:

Tony Stark/Iron Man: The billionaire who, after being held captive, escaped with a suit of armor he created and now uses an upgraded version to make the world a better place.

Lt. Colonel James Rhodes:  Cheadle replaces Terrence Howard from the first film.

Ivan Vanco: A physicist and ex-convict who builds his own arc reactor-based weapon to exact vengeance on the Stark family.

Virginia “Pepper” Potts: Stark's closest friend, budding love interest, and business partner as Pepper is promoted to CEO of Starduck Industries.

Justin Hammer: a rival weapons manufacturer.

Nathalie Rushman/ Nathasia Romanoff: She works in the legal department of Stark Industries and is highly qualified, speaking multiple languages including Latin and Russian. An undercover spy for S.H.I.E.L.D. posing as Stark's assistant.

Nick Fury: Director of S.H.I.E.L.D.

As Tony Stark owns up to being Iron Man before the world press, Anton Vanko lies dying in Russia. Years ago, Anton worked with Tony's father to create a new source of energy. But greed got the best of Anton, and now as he slips away, his son, Ivan, vows to make Tony pay for the sins of his father. Meanwhile, Tony fends off efforts from smarmy Senator Stern and military weapons expert Justin Hammer to divulge the secrets of his powerful Iron Man suit. The powers that be are concerned that Tony's technology may fall into the wrong hands -- fears that are soon confirmed when the cocky billionaire entrepreneur is confronted in front of the entire world by Ivan, who has built his own weapon using stolen Stark blueprints. Later, as Lt. Rhodes wrestles with the decision to personally deliver Tony's suit to the military, Ivan finds an unlikely ally in the quest to destroy Iron Man; Stark Industries legal consultant Natalie Rushman reveals her connection to Nick Fury; and Pepper Potts takes on some new responsibilities.

Iron Man was a fun movie and despite a somewhat heavier storyline, the sequel managed to provide plenty of laughs from all angles – from Rhodes to Hammer to Potts, everyone got a laugh in at least once.
I love RDJ as Tony Stark and could watch him all day, but there is one thing I’d rather watch – Iron Man kicking the shit out of things.  So in my opinion, we need more time in the suit.
